ECG Gadget Demo
Narrated movie demonstration of storage, analysis, analysis retrieval and annotation of ECG waveforms. In this demonstration, the user is able to log into the CVRG ECG Gadget and store ECG data. Those data are then able to be analyzed by two open-source ECG analysis algorithms. The results of these analyses are downloadable in CSV format, for the user to view/further analyze within spreadsheet programs (e.g., Microsoft Excel). The user is also able to annotate the ECG waveforms with concepts from the ECG Ontology, available from the National Center for Biomedical Ontologies (NCBO) BioPortal (http://bioportal.bioontology.org). These annotations are stored, for retrieval the next time the user logs in the system.
Federated Query: Mesa Project Demo
This movie illustrates a federated query requested by the MESA research team. It is a demonstration of the integration of Clinical, ECG and Imaging data based upon criteria entered by the user. In this demonstration, the user selects Clinical criteria for all female subjects between the ages of 56 and 76. The user then changes tabs to the ECG criteria and checks off Long QT Interval to restrict the result set to those subjects whose ECGs have been classified as exhibiting Long QT intervals. The user then submits the criteria to the CVRG Federated Query Mediator by clicking the search hyperlink. Once the Mediator processes the query and retrieves the results, a list of subjects that meet the criteria is returned. Scrolling through the list shows all the available primary data for each subject. The demonstration then opens the information for one subject who has all the primary data (i.e., Clinical, ECG and Imaging). The user is able to download the results to a spreadsheet program (e.g., Microsoft Excel). The user is able to see all the primary data associated with the subject, along with demonstrated clinical and ECG analyses. After interacting with all the data for one subject, the user can return to the result set, to interact with other subject data.
Federated Query: Reynolds Project Demo
The research of the D. W. Reynolds Cardiovascular Research Center is a CVRG Driving Biomedical Project. This example illustrates the execution of a query requested by Reynolds investigators. It is a narrated demonstration of integration of Clinical, Imaging results and Proteomic data based upon criteria entered by the user. In this demonstration, the user selects Clinical criteria for all male subjects with birthyears between 1930 and 1950. The user then changes tabs to the Imaging criteria and selects LV EF between 10 and 30, to restrict the result set to those subjects whose left ventricular ejection is in a certain range. The user then changes to the Protein tab and selects TNFa Rec 2 greater than 3000, to restrict the result set further. The user then submits the criteria to the Query Mediator by clicking the search hyperlink. Once the Mediator processes the query and retrieves the results, a list of subjects that meet the criteria is returned. Scrolling through the list shows the available primary data for each subject. The demonstration then opens the information for one subject who has all the primary data (i.e., Clinical, Imaging and Protein). The user is able to download the results for the entire population returned by the Mediator to a spreadsheet program (e.g., Microsoft Excel). The user is able to see all the primary data associated with the subject, including ECG and SNP data. After interacting with all the data for one subject, the user can return to the result set, to interact with other subject data.
